On hot and humid days, a fiery poem gives me reprieve, somehow feeling like the coolest place in the world. Is there such a sweet spring inside you?
The Sacred Heart of Jesus is that place, A Sun that belongs to you.
Would you venture close letting him melt your protected life into a cool clear pool of innocence? The Sacred Heart belongs to you.

It has come into Being through adoration.
It has come to shine upon the old and the new.
My own feeble and foolish thoughts
burned to nothing – I was so drawn to It,
a wingless moth, crawling into flames.
Now all I have is Love of Fire,
the heat and hum and pull of purity.
All I have is appreciation, for Grandpoppi’s Face,
is shining through.
My soul bursts out — only feelings now,
May I have More (!)
knowing full well, More will kill me.
These are stories Adoration tells
as she sits by the hearth
where His warmth fills her House,
amazed that the Fire of the Sacred Heart
is also a cool clear pool.
You who thirst to Love come nigh.
